Extraspecials is managed by Tom Wilson and Bessie Williams of Aladnlass Productions.

Tom worked for the BBC for 25 years in various positions, ending his career as line producer for such shows as Byker Grove, Grange Hill, Throwaways and The Gift. 

Bessie Williams also worked for Byker Grove as a freelance Art Director.  She started out in theatre 20 years ago and has worked in the TV industry over the last 15 years.  Recent involvements include Wire in The Blood, Innocence, The Marchioness and Distant Shores. 

Whilst working on productions, the company was increasingly being asked to supply extras, which led eventually to this website.

One of the main reasons for their success is that Tom and Bessie come from inside the industry. They know the pressures that producers and production assistants are under and so are able to respond in a timely and efficient fashion.

Simple things like recognising that extras are generally booked outside of hours, that costumes are usually of a standard size- especially when dealing with uniformed personnel such as police officers- are what makes Extraspecials' service to production companies second to none.
